How would you describe your personal style?

Inventive – Creativity is one thing I love about fashion and being able to envisage how pieces and accessories can naturally come together to create a beautiful outcome.

Colourful – My wardrobe is packed with colour! Colour is a lovely way to express yourself, to bring a personal lift or even bring joy to others around you.

Experimental – I enjoy trying new styles and experimenting with fashion. I spend a lot of time trying on new shapes and cuts so I can understand the way they fall on a woman's body. Working out how to apply fashion practically and to different body shapes is a challenge I love.

Practical - As a mother, I always need to give thought to sensible styling, juggling school runs, work, shopping or sporting activities. These shouldn’t compromise looking good, but comfort is always key.

What do you love most about fashion?

There are no set rules for looking your best. We have so much choice these days for quality, affordable fashion, it’s easy to find clothing to suit every body shape. The secret is to wear it with confidence and with your head held high.

What is your most loved item of clothing in your wardrobe?

Jeans! I am loving all the new shapes and colours available at the moment. I am always very excitied to try a new style that becomes available to add something fresh and new.

What are your best style tips for women?

Embrace your shape and size. Knowing how to accentuate your best features will naturally disguise the areas of your body you do not feel comfortable with - and we all have those.

If it doesn’t feel amazing the moment you put it on, chances are, it doesn’t belong in your wardrobe.

Don’t shop sales! They are an easy way to buy items you don’t really need, not saving in the long run.

What drives your passion for helping women experiencing disadvantage through not-for-profit work?

I am motivated every day by helping others.

I meet so many fascinating and inspiring women: career women, working mothers, stay at home mothers, retirees and women facing personal challenges. Regardless of your social background or stage of life, I wish for all women to leave the house with a spring in their step, ready to take on their day with pride and confidence.

What wardrobe item couldn’t you live without?

My flat shoe collection; stylish but practical.

What gets you up in the morning?

I am an early riser and I love to get out of the house before I start the day. I love being in or by the water. I am a devoted ocean swimmer (even in the winter) or happy to jump in an outdoor lap pool if the ocean has other ideas.

Best way to spend a Sunday is…

A sleep-in followed by an ocean swim or a walk with my family and dog. A coffee is always a must. The best Sundays are the ones with no plans.

Your personal motto to live life by is….

Positive energy comes from within.

Looking good and feeling great allows for confident interaction with others while bringing a wonderful sense of personal satisfaction at the end of the day.
